A Chapter Ends As The Lair Closes Its Doors

While our studio closes down, we'll still be out and about in our community

Hello everyone, while I wish this could be good news, we'll be closing down our dungeon studio ("The Lair") at the end of June. So I wanted to take some time to explain what happened and what you can look forward to in the future.

The Lair started as a humble storage unit back in 2019 and eventually, through a lot of hard work, was renovated to become a dungeon studio to host community events. This month we got a notice from our landlord that the rent for the space will be doubled at the end of May. This combined with other unresolved maintanence issues had made it clear that we simply weren't welcome anymore. After negotiating some terms, we agreed to vacate at the end of June.

So what does this mean for local events and private rentals?

-Well first we still have another month to continue to host events and will have one last Demo Dungeon party.

-Our gaming group will be reached out to privately on how we'll move forward.

-Sex parties will be paused but we'll still have our testing events and continue to work with

Reseau Access Network to promote sexual health.

-Private rentals will no longer be available starting in June 21, but workshops will be available in the future at other sites.

What this means to The Midnight Manor as a whole...

-The Midnight Manor will continue to host events, just without a central location.

-Most of our equipment will be put in storage as we go through this transition stage.

-Events that can be run via Discord will be shifted there soon.

-Our final event will be Dungeons & Dragons on June 22nd.

Silver lining.

We were already setting up plans to redevelop our online presence and relaunch our larger events. Now we will be dedicating more of our time and resources to getting these projects up and running. Keep an eye on social media for more updates as we release them.
